Team Biographies
Along with the proprietary services that we have developed in house over the years, we feel that our unize group of employees is what truly sets us apart from other practices. Each one of us is and expert in their resective field, and brings that knowledge and experience to every project that we work on.

Michael J. Tocco R.Ph., M.Ed.
Michael is the Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Pharmacy Solutions, Inc. Over the past 25 years, Michael’s experience in the health care industry has included positions such as: owner of a community pharmacy chain, executive level positions in two major pharmacy chains, consulting and program development for managed care organizations as well as state DUR boards, and consulting to pharmaceutical manufactures on disease management, operational, clinical, regulatory, and marketing issues. While at IPS, Michael has helped clients by developing: disease management programs that use patient registries, disease treatment algorithms, provider and patient education, as well as contract management and pharmacy data management services.
Michael uses his experience to provide innovative and practical solutions to today’s most difficult pharmaceutical care delivery problems encouraging appropriate and rational use of pharmaceuticals to reduce health system costs. Specific experience includes:
- Assessing, evaluating, redesigning and implementing pharmaceutical care management and distribution programs.
- Designing and implementing pharmacy related health system issue management strategies for managed care and public health organizations.
- Community pharmacy brokerage services.
- Disease management initiatives and patient registries in the areas of depression, peptic ulcer disease, weight management, Hepatitis C, and HIV/AIDS.
- Testifying and speaking at various state drug utilization review boards, pharmacy and therapeutic committees, and many national managed health care conferences speaking on contemporary pharmacy and health care issues such as MediCare Part D, Pharmacy Data Analysis for Auditing, The Changing Pharmacy Industry.
Michael graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Science degree, and has completed a Masters in Education and Management Studies at Cambridge College. Michael has also completed course work toward an MBA at Suffolk University. He is a member of national and state pharmacy associations as well as political organizations. Michael has served on the leadership of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy since 1997. Michael has published a number of articles related to pharmaceutical care and has spoken at a number of national health care conferences (NMHCC, AMCP, ASCP, ASHP). Michael also has served on the editorial boards for Nursing Home Economics and Disease State Management Magazines. He currently is a member of the Pharmacy Pricing Advisory Task Force, the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy, and Chair of the Academy of Managed Care’s National Task Force on Quality.
Marcia Brown, B.S.
Ms. Brown has over 25 years experience in Customer Service. She is currently the Director of Operations with responsibilities of overseeing the regulatory affairs and government consulting, manages the pharmacy audit program logistics, and project manages other client programs to ensure budgets, deadlines and objectives are met. Her previous work experiences include the medical equipment manufacturing and distribution field as well as retail and call center experience in the financial industry. She has managed the sales, operational excellence, internal communications, new initiative training program development and implementation, and regulatory and audit compliance functions during her career. Marcia uses her extensive knowledge, management and teaching experience to provide customers with a high level of quality interaction resulting in achievement of all objectives. Marcia graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She is a Notary Public, International Standard Operation (ISO) Certified and has her Real Estate License. She has been very active in local community groups, an avid golfer and serves on the Board of Directors at Meadow Brook Golf Club.
Vincent Christiano, R.Ph.
Mr. Christiano has over 25 years experience in the health care industry specializing in a wide array of pharmacy practices. His multi-disciplinary pharmacy background includes consulting, mail service, DUR, managed care, long term, retail independent and chain pharmacy practices. He has worked with health care providers as a trainer and educator in clinical psychiatric settings, establishing formularies, DUR program operations and clinical disease state management – specializing in Senior drug care issues. He has acquired extensive experience working with physicians as a telecommunications facilitator trainer. He is also a former owner of a large independent, community based retail pharmacy.
As Clinical Manager for Pharmaceutical Strategies LLC, Vincent used his experience to help clients achieve optimal solutions for better, safer and more cost effective health care for their members.
Specific health care and related experience includes:
- Developing and operating drug utilization systems using retrospective, prospective and concurrent models.
- Designing pharmaceutical based models in disease state management in the areas of arthritis, peptic ulcer disease, pain management, drug addiction.
- Clinical trainer for mail service pharmacists in Managed Care and Geriatric medicine.
- Developing audit criteria for clinical and fiscal analysis in systems based management models.
- Developing SOP approaches for quality enhancement systems for health delivery personnel in long term, mail service and retail pharmacy settings.
- Planning and implementing operational systems for new and existing health care and pharmacy ventures.
Vincent graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and graduated from Brandeis University with a Bachelor or Arts degree in sociology. He is a member of the Faculty at Brandeis University and is a member of AphA. Vincent is a 6th Degree Black Belt (RokuDan) and holds a Master Rank (Renshi) in Uechi-Ryu Karate with over 30 years experience as instructor and practitioner in the martial arts.
Stephen DePietro, R.Ph.
Mr. DePietro has over 20 years of experience in the health care industry including: designing and managing data analysis tools for managed care and consultant pharmacy organizations; owning and operating a community pharmacy; tracking and evaluating new technologies in pharmacy practice; developing and performing regulatory audits; and training pharmacists to act as successful adjunct faculty. He currently provides database development, data analysis and pharmacy practice regulation expertise to managed care, corrections and other pharmacy organizations.
As a member of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy, Mr. DePietro used his experience to help develop innovative solutions to the complex regulatory issues that arise in this rapidly changing health care environment. His goal is to help pharmacists develop skills that will enable them to be successful in integrating pharmaceutical care into their practice.
Specific health care consulting interest and experience includes:
- Developing collection and analysis tools for appropriate use programs and medication monitoring systems.
- Creating software systems to evaluate and prioritize patients based on pre-determined criteria.
- Developing an expertise in integrating data from various systems so that it may be analyzed, reviewed and evaluated.
- Performing regulatory audits for adherence to state and federal regulations.
Mr. DePietro graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Heath Sciences with a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy. He was a member of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy and is currently a member of several professional associations including AACP, AMCP, NABP, and the Federal Pharmacist Association.
Angela Andreoli
Ms. Andreoli is the Pharmacy Manager of Walden Behavioral Care Pharmacy. Angela has experience as a staff pharmacist of a retail chain as well as pharmacy manager for an independent chain pharmacy. Upon completion of her clinical rotations in her final year at Northeastern University she has decided to pursue a managerial role in the pharmaceutical field which also involved her in clinical management as well. She has experience in retail, hospital, as well as an ambulatory care center specializing in renal transplant.
Angela’s experience includes:
- Managing of a pharmacy in a sub-acute care facility that specializes in eating disorders and substance abuse treatment.
- Managing of a retail pharmacy, maintaining inventory and appropriate records.
- Performing DUR as well as assisting nurses and doctors in determining appropriate therapy.
- Involved in developing and enforcing a formulary.
Angela graduated from Northeastern University Bouve College of Health Sciences in 2005 with a Doctoral degree in Pharmacy. She is a member of the APhA.
David Zaccheo, B.S. CPhT
Mr. Zaccheo joined Integrated Pharmacy Solutions as a Claims Analyst. He brings extensive experience in the pharmacy field comprising of seven years as Certified Pharmacy Technician and work spanning community and hospital pharmacy, including pharmacy information systems administration. David also provided valuable experience and pharmacy consulting services regarding the Public Health Services Section 340B Drug Pricing Programs to eligible Community Health Centers. Beyond the pharmacy he has been responsible for developing and delivering a curriculum for pharmacy technician students. As a consultant, David has conducted market studies for pharmacy clients, opened new pharmacies, developed workflow manuals and technology needs assessments. David contributes in our Audit and Information Technology departments. David is a graduate of Bentley College with a degree in Computer Information Systems. His outside interests include photography and rugby.
Jeff Wojtowicz, B.S.
Mr. Wojtowicz joined IPS as the Director of Marketing in February of 2008. A recent graduate, Jeff has been brought on board to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that showcases the types of solutions currently being offered by IPS. Jeff is responsible for all of the marketing activities that are conducted by IPS.
Recent projects include updating the company website, creating the marketing plan for 2008 and 2009, our marketing calendar, and also working on other projects not related to marketing, including working on projects for our pharmacy data management clients, as well as conducting research on other topics for clients of our contract management services.
